Services for Staff Sgt. Adam Ogea, 30, of Beaufort, S.C., formerly of Rockdale, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with the Rev. John Warren and the Rev. Lee Lamb officiating.

Burial will follow in Salty Cemetery with military honors.

Mr. Ogea died Sunday, Aug. 1, in El Centro, Calif.

He was born on July 21, 1980, to Billy Darrell and Anita Minster Ogea in Houston. He was a 1999 graduate of Rockdale High School. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps serving with his unit, Marine F-18 Fighter Squadron 533. He was a 10-year veteran and was an avionics specialist. He completed several tours of duty including one to Iraq and three to Japan. In December 2004, he married Shannon in South Carolina. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church in Rockdale.

Survivors include his wife of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter, Kaylee Addison Ogea of Virginia Beach; a sister, Amy Casas of Bryan; his parents of Rockdale; and his grandparents, Willemina Minster of Lindale and Leo and LuNan Ogea of Rockdale.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
