Coroner says drugs, not CO poison, killed man

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - According to reports, a 27-year-old Denham Springs man did not die of carbon monoxide poisoning, as first suspected.

The coroner report showed he died from a prescription drug overdose, not the poisonous gas, as previously thought.

James Lee Willson was found dead Monday in an apartment complex on Bradford Drive in Baton Rouge.

Four other people from the apartment were treated for exposure to carbon monoxide.

A generator was found running outside the apartment.
