My name is Heather and I am 23. I have a twin sister. My brother Christopher had a severe drug problem that affected my life every day. He was a very strong person who loved his family, but he had trouble finding his way. We had a connection throughout our lives. He was so outgoing. When I found out about my brother using drugs, I tried my best to help him by keeping him close, but he was always so far away.

My brother never truly got along with my parents in the way a son should, but he made sure he was always there and kept his presence with them. All of my family members tried to except him, but it was hard. He fought about everything. But, when he wanted to he was so generous. He was one of the smartest people I knew and he loved to help me with things I would have trouble with. He always wanted to be the center of attention, which is exactly how I am.

When my brother used he became a completely different person who I didn't know. It hurt a lot to see him trying to fight to just live day by day. I want to be able to tell my story. I want to help out other brothers and sisters with the same issues that I went through. In a way, his death has taught me a lot. It taught me that life is too short, and at any moment on any day someone you love can be gone. It taught me to love so unconditionally that you can't love any harder. God rest his soul.

Christopher J. Brogna, 23, of 48 Westbrook Road, Northborough died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, in Worcester after an illness.

Christopher is survived by his loving and devoted parents, Kimberly S. (Stokes) Brogna of Westborough and Gerald J. Brogna of Northborough; two sisters whom he adored, Heather M. Brogna and Michelle K. Brogna of Northborough; his maternal grandmother, Susan Stokes of Shrewsbury; his paternal grandmother, Mary J. Seibli of Cornville, Arizona; his paternal grandfather, Gerald W. Brogna of Northborough; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Christopher was born in Worcester and raised in Northborough where he attended Northborough Public Schools in his early years before attending these private schools; Hillside School in Marlborough, Castle Hill in Cambridge and The Baird Center in Plymouth where he excelled to the top of his class at all three. He was a great wood craftsman, an avid fisherman and loved cars. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all.

A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 29th, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Rose of Lima Church, 248 West Main Street, Northborough. Burial will be private.
