Andrea Renee Teel, 18, of Springfield, Mo., went to be with our Lord April 12, 2008. She was born January 16, 1990, in Cox South Hospital. Andrea was a senior at Central High School. She was a model student and planned to attend MSU on a Board of Governor's Scholarship, where she was going to major in psychology. In addition to her classes, Andrea volunteered in the school library and a special needs classroom. She also worked part-time at the Bass Pro Catalog Call Center. In her spare time, Andrea enjoyed reading, shopping for clothes and going to the movies with her friends. She was a member of Webster Park Baptist Church where she was saved and baptized. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Richard Teel; and an infant cousin, Christopher Levin Teel. She is survived, and greatly missed, by her parents, Larry and Betty Teel; and sisters, Kelly and Kacy. Survivors also include her grandparents, Reba Teel and Wanda and David Speake, Springfield; aunts and uncles, Eric Peterson and special friend, Nora Underwood of Pittsburgh, Mo., Chris and Tammy Teel, Springfield, Scott and Patti Teel, New Braunfels, Texas and Tom and Paula Teel, Norfolk, Va.; cousins, Levi and Lydia Teel, Springfield, Mo., Jesse Chance and Eric Teel, New Braunfels, Texas, Dawna Searcy, Franktown, Colo. and Andrew Teel, Norfolk, Va.; close friend Brandy Hightower; as well as many more extended family members. Also missing Andrea is her Church family, co-workers, teachers, classmates and many more young people. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a memorial scholarship fund established in Andrea's name. Donations should be made payable to the Foundation for Springfield Public Schools and mailed to 940 N. Jefferson, Springfield, MO 65805.
