William "Willie" Ross Ochsenbine, died Friday March 13, 2009, in his residence. He was 18. A five year resident of Okeechobee, Willie was a senior at Okeechobee High School where he was specializing in auto mechanics. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. Born on May 22, 1990, in Canton, Ohio, he was preceded in death by his uncle, Scott Allen Hopkins and is survived by his parents, Todd and Amy Ochsenbine; brother, L. Todd Ochsenbine; sisters, Ashley Ochsenbine and sister/cousin, Sierra Hopkins all of Okeechobee. In addition he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Irene Ochsenbine of Minerva, Ohio; maternal grandparents, George and Patsy Hopkins of Louisville, Ohio; and maternal grandmother, Margaret Schneider of Okeechobee. Also surviving are uncles, George Hopkins Jr. of Okeechobee, Ronnie McCarty of Minerva, Ohio; and aunts, Tammy Jays (Joe) of Buckhead Ridge and Terry Ochsenbine of Minerva, Ohio. There are numerous other family members. The family has requested that casual attire be worn for the visiting hours and services. Funeral services will be conducted today, March 18, 2009, at noon in the Buxton Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery.
