Popular Mince Passes

GCB has learned from several sources that popular New Orleans based boxer Jimmy Mince has reportly died from an apparent druge overdose. Mince was most known nationally by starring on the Fox reality telivision series "The Next Great Champ" which was aired in 2005 and was hosted by boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya. Mince would go on to win his first bout on the series but would lose in his next bout against eventual winner Otis Griffin.

Mince was a local hero in his native New Orleans but only fought sparringly in his brief professional career and fought only one time since July 2005. "Marvelous" Jimmy Mince would go on to have a 8-1 record with 4 knockouts. Mince was 30 years of age.
