Matthew Robert Moore, 18, of Water Street, Rome, Pa., passed away Aug. 3, 2008.

Matthew was deeply loved by his family and many friends and will be truly missed.

He was born Oct. 20, 1989, in Tunkhannock, Pa., the son of Perry D. Moore and Debra M. Morris Moore.

Matthew attended the Northeast Bradford School and at the time of his passing was employed by Osram Sylvania in Towanda, Pa. His love of life was BMX racing and being with his family and friends.

He is survived by: his father and mother: Perry D. Moore of Rome and Debra M. Moore of Tunkhannock, Pa.; sisters, Reba Moore of Rome and Genny Trembley of Panama, N.Y.; brothers, Daniel and Luke Moore of Panama; maternal grandmother, Jean Morris of Tunkhannock; paternal grandfather, Frank Moore of Warren, Pa.; special uncle, Frank Morris, and cousin, Jesse Morris; god mother, Kathy Nesslein; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Morris; paternal grandmother, Elsie Moore; and maternal great-grandmother, Leota Morris.

A memorial service and celebration of Matt's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, at the Rome Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Karen Ballard, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in the Apalachin Cemetery, Apalachin, N.Y.

The Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home of Towanda, Pa., is assisting Matt's family with service arrangements.
