Belmar resident Sean Patrick Roenbeck died on Monday, June 25.

He was 23 years old.

Born in Point Pleasant, he lived in Ocean Township before moving to Belmar.

Sean was a 2001 graduate of Ocean Township High School, and co-captain of the 2000 State Champion football team Central Jersey Division Group III.

He was a 2006 graduate of the University of Delaware.

Sean worked as a drug and alcohol counselor at J.S.A.S. Health Care, in Asbury Park. He was a member and communicant at St. Rose Church, Belmar.

Sean was also the lead singer of the band "Good Grief," having played at the Stone Pony.

Surviving are his parents, Ernest C. Roenbeck and Beth Meehan Roenbeck; two brothers, Christopher M. Roenbeck, of Unionville, Conn., and Dr. Kevin M. Roenbeck, of Highland Park. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Interment was held at St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall Township.
