----------------
Flora, Maggie
On Friday, Sept. 5, 2008, Maggie Flora passed from this world to a place with bright skies, wide green pastures, a gentle river, and free roaming animals, everywhere.
Celebration of life: A celebration of Maggie's Life will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at White's Chapel United Methodist Church, 185 S. Whites' Chapel Blvd., Southlake.
Memorials: Maggie would want memorials to be directed to www.DFWwildlife.org.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1993. She attended school in Southlake, until this year when she was enrolled at The Clariden School.
God gave Maggie many talents--drawing, painting, sculpting, singing, acting and a deep love for people and animals. Maggie's life bubbled out freely, beautifully and spontaneously--you couldn't help but be drawn to her.
As an artist, her work showed deep feelings that touched most of us in a special way. She was a passionate advocate of those less fortunate, both people and animals. Her work included coaching basketball for special needs young people, and a constant effort to rescue and rehabilitate animals.
Maggie's close family includes her parents, Ward and Diedra Flora, and her brother, Sam Flora. She would want us to "Love each other deeply, and be gentle to each other always."
