A pedestrian killed by Caltrain in San Bruno on Saturday was identified today as 15-year-old Anthony Rea of San Mateo, according to the San Mateo County Coroner''s office.
Rea died at around 5:34 p.m. Saturday. Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said in a news release that the train engineer saw a person - later identified by the coroner to be Rea - walk around the lowered crossing gates at the north end of the San Bruno station.
Rea was struck by the southbound train No. 440.
Transit police and the San Mateo County coroner''s office are investigating the incident.
