It happened again

On Tuesday, August 21, 2007, Christopher Alan Wood of Keithville took his own life. He was a 16 year old student at Southwood High. I did not know this young man but his mother is an old friend of mine from my toy business days. All I can say to my loyal blog readers is that teen suicide is a problem of epidemic proportions and all of us must pull together to try and help these young people to realize that a permanent solution to temporary problems is not the way to go. So please, if you know someone suffering from depression, drug or alcohol abuse or just having problems dealing with everyday life, refer them to the AlChar space here on My Space to contact one of our councelors or, if they are not comfortable with that, to seek help from someone and let them know that there are a lot of people out here who care and that their lives and wellbeing are important to all of us who love them.

I truly believe that if we all pull together WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
