Terry Nathan King, 25, of Lafayette, died unexpectedly early Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, in his residence.
He was born Dec. 9, 1981, in Lafayette. He attended Jefferson High School and was a life resident of Lafayette.
His marriage was to Cori Ann McGlothlin Cain on March 7, 2007, in West Lafayette at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and she survives.
Mr. King worked for Andover Wire Co. in Lafayette in manufacturing. Previously he held various factory jobs including Wabash National.
He enjoyed sports and was especially proud of the Indianapolis Colts championship. He also enjoyed watching racing at Kamp Motor Speedway, NASCAR, where he rooted for Dale Earnhardt Jr., and all kinds of music.
Surviving with his wife are an infant son, Benjamin Nathan King; two stepchildren, Kenndall Cain and Jeryd Cain; his mother, Sheila Mitton (husband: Dennis) of Lafayette; his father, Earnest Terry King of Lafayette; two brothers, Raymond King (wife: Diane) of Colfax and Joshua King of Lafayette; and a sister, Angie King (fiancé: Dave Johnson), also of Lafayette.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (3224 Jasper St.) West Lafayette. Interment to follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Cemetery of West Lafayette. Also surviving are a special uncle, Tom King and his two children, five nephews, one niece and all of Terry's extended family. They say only the good die young; I guess he was a little too good. Terry was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and son. He lived for spending time with his new son and stepchildren. He will be sorely missed. Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
