Helgason, Shamus Timothy Of Minneapolis, born May 8, 1986 and unexpectedly left us October 25, 2006. Dearly loved and cherished son of Anne and Lowell. Words can not begin to describe your place in our hearts. You will always be a part of our lives, as our love for you is endless. From youth hockey games to house-shaking band practice to extreme wake- boarding, we loved every minute we spent with you. Shamus will be missed every day by Grandmothers, Lillian Helgason Myrdal (Don Myrdal) and Fabiola Sullivan (Cliff Johnson); Aunts and Uncles, Mary Jo and Bob Coleman, Kathleen and Gary Nafstad, John Sullivan, Margaret and Tim O'Connor, Ric and Deb West, Stuart and Laurie Helgason, Wayne and Kathy Helgason and Harvey and Jane Helgason; and many cousins who loved Shamus like a brother. Shamus also had many friends that will miss him, especially his girlfriend, Missy Olson and best friend, Jade Prigge. He has now joined Grandfathers Stefan Helgason and John (Jack) Sullivan, Uncle Tim Sullivan and Aunt Sharon Helgason. Shamus attended Minnehaha Academy until 10th Grade, but due to his passion and talent for music, he was accepted to the Perpich Center for the Arts and graduated in 2004. After graduation he continued his music studies at the Institute for Production and Recording. He shared his love of music, playing in many bands, most recently Sound Salvation. A celebration of Shamus's life will be held Saturday, October 28th at St. Joan of Arc Church, 4537 Third Ave. S., Mpls, MN beginning at 11:00 AM with visitation two hours prior at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Shamus T. Helgason Memorial Fund.
