Maryland State Police say it is believed drug overdoses caused the deaths of two 22-year-old men whose bodies were found in car near Salisbury on Monday.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., the Salisbury Barrack of the Maryland State Police received a call from a deer hunter who had discovered two men who appeared unconscious in a car parked along the shoulder of the dirt portion of Twilley Bridge Road.
Troopers responded along with investigators from the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation. The bodies of two men were located at the scene.
Police say that at this point in time, detectives are investigating the deaths as possible overdoses of illegal drugs. According to police, there was nothing at the scene that led investigators to believe anything suspicious had occurred.
Police identified the men as Alexander Longfellow, of Hebron, Md., and Alan Ellison, of Pittsville, Md.
The victims have been taken the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsies to determine the cause of death.
