A Hot Springs woman was struck by a railroad train and killed while walking on tracks crossing the Ouachita River early Wednesday. Casey Jo Walker and two men were walking on the bridge near downtown Arkadelphia when the train approached about 1:25 a.m. The men said they grabbed the side of the bridge and held on while the train went by but that they couldn't find the 20-year-old woman after the train passed. read more...

Anoka County authorities suspect suicide in the death of a 19-year-old Lexington woman whose car was struck by a train early Wednesday. About 20 minutes before the crash her parents had called police and said they feared she was suicidal. The victim was identified as Ashlee Ann Schmidtbauer. She died at the scene in Oak Grove after a Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight train slammed into the driver's side of her sedan at about 28 mph, pushing it some 100 yards before grinding to a halt, said Capt. A 20-year-old man was killed early yesterday when he was hit by a train as he tried to cross the tracks at Carlsbad Village Drive, authorities said. Marcus G. Philip Salvatoriello passed away on April 3, 2006, he was involued in a frieght train accident. He was passing over the tracks when the freight train came out of the trees and crashed into his truck. The real witness said the two died on impact, which may sound harsh but it is a hell of alot better then what i read in the paper that the two boys were kicking and screaming for their lives.
