I don't know if this is a case of 'the good son' or if dad really was trigger happy. But I would venture to say that being masked with a knife in hand certainly makes the situation look like the kid was not as 'sweet' as everyone is saying.
Shit like this doesn't just happen out of the blue.
I call bullshit on the charging. This is the same way that "stand your ground" bullshit lets trigger happy people open fire on anyone without being questioned.
If I brought a knife to a gunfight, I certainly wouldn't be charging at anyone. Even less of a chance if it were family.
But (supposedly) he didn't know it was his son. And yeah, I would bring a gun to a knife fight. If I know there is a fight and there is for sure a knife, better believe I am not going to try and keep things even, I am trying to end things and I don't mean by killing.
The only questionable part would be if he shot without any warning or provocation. To me, that is the question. Yet they are saying the kid charged. His bad. All the way around. IMO.
