It isn't so much a taste for human flesh... wild animals are like Willy Sutton. They go where the money is. If it's easier to hunt bunnies and sheep that's what they'll do. But once a bear/wolf/cougar/whathaveyou realizes just how easy people are? Well then they're on the next hiker that comes by. If the only experience Notso Gentle Ben has with people is scary and unsatisfying, he'll leave the area when he catches wind of people. If on the other hand he raids a VW with a predead people? Well he's gonna be a threat from here on out.

i think feeling like you need to kill a bear just because it ate something that was already dead is weird. i respect your opinion, but if you're going to kill every bear who would eat a dead human they happen to come across when they're hungry than we should probably just take them all out now.
