I think he had jeans on in the video, but I could be wrong.
I had the same question; from the article:
Morin's family, with the help of their attorney, is sending letters to five high schools in Los Angeles where the suspect was caught on surveillance video leaving a home after committing another crime there earlier this year.
"He could have been high school as early as two years ago," Morin Family Attorney Randolph Rice said. "So, if there's a teacher there who taught him and saw him every single day during the school year, hopefully that teacher would recognize who he is."

The nationwide manhunt for the person who killed a 37-year-old Maryland woman on a popular hiking trail last year may have ended in Oklahoma over the weekend with the arrest of a suspect in Rachel Morin's death.
Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, 23, was charged with the first-degree murder and first-degree rape of Morin, Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said during a news conference in Maryland on Saturday. Finally MDS stayed up long enough to let me update this thread.Martinez-Hernandez was arrested by police in Tulsa just before midnight on Friday on accusations of trespassing in front of a business, according to Gahler. Tulsa police, who were aware of a murder warrant for Martinez-Hernandez signed in Maryland on Friday afternoon, arrested him for trespassing and the killing and rape of Morin, the sheriff added.
