Yay! Merica! Yay! Guns!
Soon as my kid wakes up, I'm hugging him tight. Something some parents can no longer do. *cry*
Boston, I wish I was leaving with you!
Gawd, this makes me sick.
Don't worry, NRA, your fucking guns are safe as always. We will do exactly what we do every single fucking time this happens - nothing.

An 18-year-old gunman opened fire Tuesday at a Texas elementary school, killing 14 children, one teacher and injuring others, Gov. Greg Abbott said, and the gunman was dead.
It was the deadliest shooting at a U.S. grade school since the shocking attack at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut, almost a decade ago.
The gunman entered Robb Elementary School in Uvalde with a handgun and possibly a rifle, Abbott said. Officials have not revealed a motive for the shooting, but Abbott identified him as Salvador Ramos and said he was a resident of the community that?s about 85 miles (135 kilometers) west of San Antonio.
Abbott said the shooter was likely killed by responding officers but that the events were still being investigated. Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District Chief of Police Pete Arredondo said at a news conference that the gunman acted alone.

Here is a Salvador Ramos from Uvalde, but if he's the guy in the profile picture then he's definitely not 18 years old. Possibly a relative? His Father?

ETA: Hubby says that they're showing photos of him with guns from his Facebook and Instagram so he does have accounts. Apparently he sent a photo of a gun to some girl this morning he hardly knows saying, "I've got a secret".
This is so messed up. Why shoot babies? This isn't good for my anxiety. Those poor babies, and their poor parents. I can't imagine the pain that comes with something so tragic.
Boston I'm 1% Irish, does Ireland have the 1 drop rule like America? I can leave here, my child would have a better chance teaching adulthood. No place is safe from guns in this country. :(
They were 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders, as Queena said, they were just babies. And those poor teachers too that lost their lives.
I thought most schools had security guards? Am I dumb to think that?
I'm sadly suspecting that there are children that suffered head shots and will be determined to be brain dead. The full death toll will probably not be known for a week. It's horrid and sad to think that way, but it's the harsh truth.
What's more horrid? Thinking that this is actually the case? Or prioritizing AR-15s over the lives of elementary school children?
Confirmed another child died. Total at the moment is 19 kids.

So incredibly sad.

There shouldn't be that many in 30 years, let alone 5 months.
