I mumford. I'm glad he is doing well. My kids bring their dogs (puppies) for daycare at my house. The youngest is a lab. Sweet dog, but it eats a lot and poops big ones. I'll be glad when they are thoroughly house broken. We still have an occasional accident, but they have learned from the older chi's the best places to poo outside. I've never had a big dog before, she is pretty dang cute in her awkward puppy phase and face plants when she tries to jump on the couch. She weighs 25 pounds now and her Shitzu cousin weighs 6 pounds. They wrestle and play all day and the lab plays so gentle with the smaller dog.
Apparently Kat is currently trying to get pregnant again

I didn't know cats can't be diet controlled diabetics. I sort of assumed it would be like people type2 and careful diet and weight loss program would prevent being insulin dependent.
Every pet I ever had, has needed vet visits for more than shots. Like kids, they do get sick. Plus, it makes renting a pain in the butt with added fees. Monthly flea preventative for my gang isn't cheap. 3 cats and 2 dogs is close to $100 a month for advantage and heartguard.
We currently have a cat at the shelter who is on a special diet AND insulin.
Being somewhat of an expert, this is the norm. Cats aren't like people. People usually regularly have their blood checked so they know when they're either at risk for diabetes (on the cusp where diet is a factor) or what specific level of diabetic they are where they COULD possibly manage it by diet to a certain extent and monitor it.
With animals you don't usually know they're diabetic until they have a noticeable episode at which point managing by diet is a ship that's already sailed. They can't tell us "I feel a little woozy".
In other words, Kat is full of shit. As usual.
Yeah she originally took Mumford to the vet because he had a seizure. She said the vet said Mumford was diabetic, and I told her she would have to take him in for a blood glucose curve test. You basically bring the cat into the clinic, he fasts the entire day (water is allowed) and every hour a blood glucose test is done, until the vet can see a pattern or determine what the dosage of insulin will be.
She said the vet referred her to a nutritionist, and I called bullshit. I've had enough experience with people like her to know how the visit went down.
It really makes me angry she got a puppy, when cant even get her cat on insulin.
Blah blah blah blah I posted the paperwork the night but I took Mumford to the vet and also I got the puppy from the pound she has all her shots and is spayed etc. etc. so fuck all yourselves. Just like when I was pregnant people thought I was lying just like when I went to go have her at the hospital people thought that I was lying like seriously how much of a fucking imagination do you think I have? I could be a best-selling novelist at this point! Go hate some real scum like people that rape and kill their children. How bout that?
