I'm so sorry Hey. Have you put up flyers around town?
I'd be devastated too.
I don't have a printer so I can't make one. I know like all these random little details about him too so I could make a super good one.
I hope he wanders home soon. He probably found a girly friend cat and is having an illicit kitty affair.
Can you make one and save it to a cd or usb memory stick then take it to Staples? When our little chihuahua went missing we put up flyers in the neighborhood and got SO many calls with sightings. Even though no one could catch her, it gave us a good general idea of where she wandered.
Heyyy- you could also try contacting a local animal rescue group to see if they can help you out. We've helped people that have contacted us with setting traps, creating/ distributing flyers, etc. The last cat we helped get back had been missing for over 6 weeks so don't give up!
Sky, post it in the pet section of CL.
Puppy had a seizure this morning. Absolutely terrifying. We took her to the emergency vet, who essentially said that some dogs just have seizures from time to time, gave us a dose of doggie Valium, and sent us on our way. Scary
Hello everyone!! :)

That sucks Fleta :( I had a boss who's dog had epilepsy. He was a big golden retriever and she would have to restrain him so he wouldn't hurt himself. One time she came in to work with her shins all shades of black, blue and purple. He had a seizure with his back against the wall and was kicking out while she was trying to restrain him. Except for the few random episodes, he had a great, full life.
I love the random speckles of white!
Beast is adorable!
*hugs* That is scary. My dog, Nikki, had seizures as she got older, but she still ended up living a long time after that (and passed away from something unrelated - lung tumors). She looked possessed during her seizure (rocking back and forth with glazed eyes), followed by snapping out of it, freaking out, and then vomiting. It was horrible to watch.
I think we have spoken about this before but since renovating our house, we now have loads of carpet. My resolution was to not let the dogs go on it but that lasted about 5 minutes.
So anyone got any good recommendations for a pet hair vacuum that works great on carpets?
just fyi sort of on that topic. to get stains out of carpet mix 1 part ammonia to 1 part water, spray liberally on stain, cover with white rag, then iron.
I live in a rented space and there was some older stains from before I moved in and it removed them. its amazing.
Also my moms dog peed on my floor when he was over and I didnt have time to clean it totally properly so it stained, but I did the ammonia thing and now it looks perfect. (I was still worried about the smell even though it was probably gone, so I also sprinkled baking soda on the floor and let it sit for a while before vacuuming it up.
Warning: the steam that comes up from the ammonia is strong smelling!
(I just have a cheap vacuum so I have no advice there)
I don't sell crack, I'm a prostitute.
I just use a regular vacuum and it works just fine. My bf has one for animals, it's bright yellow, but I don't remember which brand. The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum looks great. You know what I recommend though? A carpet cleaner. I got mine for about $120 (It's a Bissell) and it's been a life saver. Even if your pets don't have accidents, it's great for animal smell and even foot traffic. Make sure if you buy one you get the one with rotating brushes.
I think this is the one I have (or very similar model): http://www.amazon.com/Hoover-SteamVa...037358&sr=1-20
I was just about to go clean the hallway with mine before I read this, what a coincidence.

Super expensive, but worth every penny, and they'll outlast us all.
Dyson's are too rich for my blood.
