Anyone ever seen the show Why I Ran? It's about people who run from the police and they explain why they did it and watch the video of the chase for the first time. People are seriously frigging insane.
One of the stories was sad though. One older lady ran because she was schizophrenic and had gone on a trip and forgotten her meds. She landed up stealing the police car after the initial chase and everything. Those are some understanding cops tho, she didn't get charged with anything.

My roommate and I just had a long talk about the best shows being on cable in general. It's because they don't rely on the nielsen ratings to appeal to advertisers, so they can take greater risks. Plus, they have a huge surplus of cash for a budget since they've just been screening old shit for decades. Most of the shows I watch are on cable networks: Justified, Psych. The new Covert Affairs isn't bad at all.

Yeah pretty much. The Sci-Fi Channel was nothing but Twilight Zones and Star Trek movies till they built up enough cash to do battlestar. Same with USA. Nothing but Gilbert Godfried doing Up All Night and movies, and now it's original shows. HBO really did pave the way for cable programming. Arliss, Larry Sanders Show(which is one of the best shows ever IMO) etc..
The only thing that makes me mad is that the 4400 was USA's experiment in cable shows, and it got canceled right when everything started getting amazing. And now there are about ten billion shows ripping them off, but it would have benefited a lot from a decent budget.

Now because I was away and overseas everything was DVD's. 4400 was the one about the people infected by aliens? like they all have a certain power? I remember watching that. Also I used to like Dead Like Me, although I have no idea what channel it was on.

They were abducted by the future to instill powers in them that would change the past to make sure the world survived some upcoming apocalypse.
The creator now does V, which I never watched. I wasn't into Dead Like Me because I hated the main actress, although Mandy and Callum...

I can't do that one either. I enjoyed the original in a way, but this new one? I watched one episode, saw the kid from Party Of Five and said "no thanks"
I really cant think of a Drama I love on the basic networks. And the only show I regularly watch on them is Modern Family

All the dramas are either formulaic and tired cop/hospital/lawyer or horrible, overly ambiguous 'mystery' shows. Like now I see ads for 'The Event' and I'm like, who fuckin cares. Another show with some mysterious plot where every episode gets increasingly convoluted and all the characters are disposable, so when there's a 'shocking' death, it's like, who?

Is that the one where they are all trapped in a house with video cameras? And it's "from the creators of the usual suspects" ?

Boardwalk Empire anyone?
And affirmative action is a very nice term for racial discrimination against better-qualified white people in jobs, employment, promotions and scholarships, and college admittance.

The Killing on AMC is so, so awful. It's literally every cliche of a crime ever. IT'S THIS DETECTIVE'S LAST DAY BUT HER BOSS FORCES HER TO STAY ON OT RESOLVE A HOMICIDE AND SHE IS TEAMED UP WITH A SASSY YOUNG BLOWHARD AND HER TEENAGE SON IS ANGRY AND HER BOYFRIEND KEEPS MENTIONING A PAST CASE AND THEN THE FAMILY OF THE DEAD GIRL IS MAFIA AFFILIATED BUT WALKED AWAY AND ALSO THERE ARE TIES TO A CONGRESSMAN WHOSE WIFE DIED MYSTERIOUSLY.
Smallville is officially ending tonight. This is so bittersweet. It's been on the air for 10 years and I have watched it from the beginning. Thinking back to when it first started I remember my life back then, and what I was up to. I remember meeting my Aussie ex, and I remember watching the "freak of the week" trying to bring Clark down. I remember trying to find the flight attendant I was seeing after 9/11 as well as I remember Clark getting hit by Lex on the bridge. It has been with me, and has been a part of my life for an entire decade, and I feel like I have grown with the characters. It being over leaves what feels like a hole in my heart, but luckily a metaphorical one.
It's time for Clark to grow up, and for Tom Welling to move on. At least I have the movie to look forward to.
Thanks Smallville, you made me tune in, and you brought Superman to the screen in the least cheesy way possible (as hard as that is). You also brought Christopher Reeve back to the mythos, along with a lot of other "in" stuff that only real Superman fans got, and I thank you so much for it. It was a fun 10 years.
Yea, I am gay for Superman, and I always have been, so fuck you.
Wonder Woman is dead, it must be the pants.
I normally refrain from talking about shit I work on but I have high hope for this show. The kids were all really talented and likable.
