Motor Vehicle Fatalities/Accidents involving Saturn Vehicles

Would like to hear from anyone that is aware of motor vehicle fatalities/accidents involving the Saturn vehicle.

I am not an attorney, I am a grieving mother. My son was killed in a single vehicle accident - he was driving a 1996 Saturn SL and witnesses stated his car made a sharp left hand turn while traveling on the interstate - he hit a tree head-on and was killed. In the year following his death there were 5 other similar accidents involving the Saturn vehicle, all similarly described and all within less than a 50 mile radius of my home. Thanks

Dear Isabelle
I'm sorry for your loss of your son. You must be devastated. I used to belong to an automatic recall list that Pontiac had and it would send you any and all updates. One of the recalls was a sudden loss of steering issue. I went and got mine fixed right away.
Maybe Saturn has something similar?
Maybe some of the more car orientated people here can tell you where to find information.

Peace

Tink

Isabelle,
I am sorry for your loss. I sold my Saturn SL when I found out I was pregnant. I was sure that the car wasn't all that safe. Lots of plastic, no real weight to it.....

I miss the gas mileage, but feel a ton safer in my Honda Passport.

I drive a Saturn SL and I don't have any problems, but I am an insanely cautious driver. No cell phones in my car.

I feel bad that I do not have any helpful information for you...I will see what I can find though.

I'm sorry for your loss, it is always terrible when someone is taken so young. :2sad: I will look around and see if I can dig up any information for you.

God Bless.

*Edit* I did find this:
http://auto-recalls.justia.com/content/97V138000-SATURN-SL-1996.html
It is a recall notice having to do with the steering gear box
This probably had something to do with it.
My Spidey sense tells me you're full of crap.
