tpt-You should upgrade when you get the chance! I love my new phone! They also have it with green, blue and pink. Are you on a 2 year contract? If so, it's right about time anyway!

I bought my phone outright back in the day when I had money to burn! I've had bad luck (not so much luck as me overspending) on plans and in contracts, I'm still paying off a $1000 phone bill from three years ago.

But I want a new phone!!!!!!!!!! Ugh, maybe when I get my loan out to go overseas I'll budget a new phone into the amount

my current phone is a tracfone. i've finally grown tired of it eating text messages that others send me. i want to find a phone that is a camera phone and where it has an option to pay for unlimited texting. i know alot of companies out there are shit, so if anyone knows of a company that has the kind of phone that i want at a good price, let me know please. thank you.

xo,
melissa

p.s.-i've been considering t-mobile, but if there's a better company out there, i'll go for that. oh, and i forgot to add, i prefer flip phones.

TMobile Sidekick LX. Srsly. My phone bill is like $100/mo and I'm *always* overdue paying it -_-; but still... I f*cking love my SKLX.... maybe a little too much considering I send/receive 3k texts a month...

My phone sucks. Even though I'm not due for an upgrade til next summer, I might just get another one soon. Anything but an LG.

I want to raise hell with Sprint. But I always end up apologizing if I'm not super nice to people on the phone.
Think it'll work? I do not feel like waiting a year for a new phone.

I don't want to either. I've already gone through 3 LG's in a year. And no, it's not me. When I had Cingular, I had Nokia and Motorola phones. In 5 years, I had to replace a phone once.

Are other companies really that much cheaper? I have to admit I've never looked into it. Sheer laziness on my part.
[/quote]
They can be. I am on Alltel currently. We have 2 phones on the bill (shared minutes). I believe we are on the "Freedom Plan". We get 900 minutes per month (which is a lot when you consider that you can call 10 people at any time for free with My Circle), were able to choose whether we wanted night mins. starting at 7 pm. or 1000 free text messages. We get 10 my circle numbers (any number/any network = no charge) Our plan currently costs about $90 a month after taxes. ($10 per month for extra line)

The plans run anywhere from $50 (750 minutes, 5 My Circle numbers, no 7pm minute option or free text option) to $200 (6000 minutes, unlimited N/W, 20 My Circle numbers)

If you are going t have only one line, I suggest the $59 option, it's economical, the service is good (only have had maybe 4 dropped calls the 5 years I have been with the company), and they are merging with Verizon, so there should be more phones available soon.

Hope I helped :)

<~~~~~ Verizon

Loves it. You name a cell phone company, I've used it. I've had a cell phone since I was about 17 yrs old, so that's almost 13 yrs now. I've had Verizon for about the last 3. I need to tweak my plan so that it's a little cheaper, (I'm paying about $120 a month right now for shit I'm not using) but otherwise I've never had a signal problem.

Plus I loves me phone. I'm a texting FREAK.

I know we live in different countrys but its weird to me you pay for phones on contract. So i worked in a phone shop for nearly a year and all phones were free and we always gave xbox 360s and top handsets away on 35quid tariffs. Because the networks have big commisions on packages. Ok sorry just explaining how it sort of works with phones here.

:-o That's awesome! Note to self, buy phone from Lexa next time.

What's a 35quid tariff? I know what a tariff is...but not so much a 35quid.

Sorry i meant £35 like $70 a month. I love sony ericsson phones cant say it enough. Which one do you have? A tariff is a talk plan. With my discount i hate 600mins unlimited text and internet for 22quid a month and i got like £300 cashback so its basically free! Awesome

I am on T Mobile. I have a sidekick 3 and i HATE it. I want to get a new phone, but all the T mobile phones basically suck ass. Is there a way I can get a non- t mobile phone and use it with t mobile??

in this country yes.

Can you not buy a sim free phone and stick the t-mobile sim in it?

then you can have whatever phone you like!

Re: cell phones

In Belgium it's even forbidden to sell cell phones in combination with subscriptions or plans or what ever. This means that new iphone costs about €600 here (I guess that's about $800). Now some politician is trying to get that law out of the way because the iphone is more expensive here than anywhere else in the world.

I wonder what's better: paying virtually nothing for your phone and being stuck with a long term subscription, or paying much more for it but be free to choose your operator and way of paying for calling.
