Dumb things that make you happy.

I tend to have a problem with this same situation because I have problems telling people no. I would say focus on your school and work and put the things you volunteer for last.

tell me about it! it's the end of day two and i'm already exhausted. i told both the GSA and the newspaper that i want to make sure that my school work comes first and that i would do what i could but no more than that. i made it clear. their response was to make me secretary for the GSA and managing editor for the paper.

already, i've attended 2 meetings, written minutes and sent them out, created a lesson plan for the lab portion of journalism, emailed the ASB advisor to schedule a meeting about distributing sexual health information and condoms, and made cupcakes, painting them with pretty rainbow colors to sell during Club Rush along with my actual schoolwork and real work.

have not stopped moving in two days - i am doing 12 hours days and i do not like. my dog is pissed.

tomorrow is my last day at school for the week though so if i can get through it without going nuts, i think i'll be ok with all of this. it is the first week, after all. it should settle down soon.

We got some news on the job front... My other half interviewed last week and made it onto the eligible list they are pulling people from to do background checks. They work their way down the list doing backgrounds and taking those who pass until they get the number of applicants they want. Not sure if they'll get to him this round or not, but he's in the pool.

They work their way down the list doing backgrounds and taking those who pass until they get the number of applicants they want. Not sure if they'll get to him this round or not, but he's in the pool.

I'm running so far behind and so is my ex, so I got a reprieve, and I'm not going to his house until tomorrow. Yay, one more day of privacy, no loud TV, no sweeping up mounds of dog hair, and no asshole ex to deal with. I can be on MDS all night without getting yelled at for something like laughing. I'm setting up my computer upstairs so I don't have to be around him. Maybe that's why he gets so mad at me - I avoid him, and he knows it.

Yay - My cat hasn't been sneezing since we left our house. My eyes haven't been red, irritated, or swollen. The mold at home was probably causing all of this. Plus, Jett loves being with his girlfriend and is tired and happy. My ex and I got through a whole day together without fighting. He also got a new TV without that loud surround sound, and I didn't even need earplugs. I'm going to bed nice and relaxed after a hard day's work.

It snowed last night, there is a foot of snow on the ground, but I'm in a tank top, shorts, and flip flops. It's Summer inside of my ex's house. I wish I had a scale to see just how much weight I'm losing from sweating so much. It's really hot inside, and the house needs lots of work, so I'm looking at the positive about staying here. Even though the prick didn't help me carry my stuff in Saturday night, he got here an hour before I did and got Chinese food for me. He's being extra nice because I'm getting ready to do his taxes. I need to drag this out for a few days and make him kiss my ass a little longer.

I'm not obsessing over my attic and roof for the first time in two months. Unbelievable what a change of scenery (even if the scenery sucks) does to clear the head. I'm busy working on taxes for people even though I'm supposed to be home "sick" today. I needed a day to get organized and clean up this place so that it's livable. Two other jobs that I applied for are better, and the salary is much higher, so I'm waiting on pins and needles to hear something from one in particular.

Congrats to both of you. This part can be very stressful, but once it's over it will be worth the aggravation. For CT State police, you have to take a polygraph. I was recruited and was supposed to apply in 2009, but the house fire screwed up my life for seven months. The polygraph was my biggest fear - I haven't been an angel for most of my life.

My sister in laws mother is this super religious super conservative uptight crazy asshole who homeschooled and tried her best to brainwash her last two kids. Today my SIL's 19 year old sister ran off to Texas and married some guy she just met on the internet. He also happens to be black.

I'm pretty sure her mom is going to explode. This makes me happy.

After 2 months of the Consultant for my Town telling me the problem with the mold in my attic was from improper ventilation, he now agrees with me. He now thinks something was done improperly when the roof was put on to cause so much water in the plywood. Everybody's initial reaction was that it was a ventilation problem. I have been screaming because the plywood gets wet only when it rains or snow melts from the roof. The first specialist told me it was coming through the roof, and we have been at an impasse with the Consultant and the Contractor. Finally, I had some good news, and when the snow melts, I'll be getting another new roof. Now, off to DTTAY to complain about having to stay with my ex until a new roof is put on in the Spring.
