i feel very grateful to have her here with us. yesterday also marked three years since a friend lost her mom to breast cancer she battled for 19 years. 19 years. ugh. and i just left a funeral, funny how grateful death can make us feel at times. part of what brings us together.

wow! the most amazing thing happened today!

i had to go into work early this morning to attend a mandatory employee recognition/holiday party. to start it all off, we watched a workplace safety movie about active shooter situations. in it, was an ordinary office and a guy who came in to kill everyone. it's message was to first run, then hide and finally, fight.

as soon as the guy started shooting, the sound went out so the next 10 minutes, we watched as an entire office staff was massacred in silence. holy shit, i was laughing. funniest work meeting fail ever. merry christmas, everyone!
