i paid off some medical bills a few months ago...something around $500. at the time the asshole collector told me i owed them over $3k and i only had another $900 according to my records. so i was pissed and asked the douche to send me an itemized bill. this all stemmed from several medical bills that got sold off multiple times, account numbers changed, no one can match them up with old bills. so fucking confusing.
so i got all my bills together and was going to pay them off today. since i never got the itemized statements my records still showed me owing around $895. i didn't realize that some of them were old bills and others i've been paying on monthly but i never know which account is getting credited since i have so many.
tl;dr when i called to pay them all off today it was only $319. i paid the rest of my bills off already this month.
so, aside from the student loans i just took out, i'm debt free as of this moment. FUCK YEAH.
