I went there for Lollapalooze about a thousand years ago.

I won't go to venues that can hold more than a few hundred people anymore. Not worth it.

Yea this is where I went for that AFI, GreenDay concert last night. That venue is a nightmare. When you park, it looks like the stage is literally a million miles away. Im looking around for a tram thats going to take us up that god damn hill.
Once you get in, we had lawn seats and unless you are wearing training shoes, hiking up that hill is a nightmare. I collapsed at the beer tent and watched AFI while checking my pulse to see if i was going to faint

not so dumb thing that makes me happy - looks like my brothers chemo is doing it's job! He has testicular cancer and it had spread and things weren't looking too good, but now his blood tests are coming back "almost normal" and I could dance.  According to my sister (the only family member who actually gives me any important information) he only has one more treatment left, then loads of intensive testing but everyone is so hopeful and YAY.

...Now, to balance things out, I'll head right on over to DTTAM...

Thank you.    He's handled the whole thing really well (odd, considering he's the most immature pain in the ass I've ever met :lol: ) and I'm just so pleased for him. I've not actually seen him in a while, which sucks, but he's throwing a bit of a party later this month so it's time for a trip to see him. Should be fun ... As long as his girlfriend remembers I'm his sister. I spoke to her on the phone after his surgery and she proceeded to tell me all about his new plastic balls.    "It went fine" would have been good enough for me.  :lol:

oh man, irvine meadows...

every time i go to a show there, i swear it's my last. i haven't been since the pixies/mars volta show '04, so it looks like someone's finally holding up her end of the bargain. ha.

i will always have a soft spot for the place seeing as it's the home to the most epic chick fight i've ever seen in my life. lillith fair, 1997 (i think). my cousin and i were on the lawn and a group of lesbians camped out behind us. they spent the afternoon getting trashed and getting high. one of the ladies was super stoked on her lipstick pipe and proceeded to brag about it while they were playing puff puff pass.  something happened just before sundown and two of the chicks started arguing. the verbal argument quickly escalated into a physical altercation. there was shoving, kicking, hair pulling, and they were soon on the ground, going at each other. they continued to fight in the grass, and ended up tumbling down the hill. it was AWESOME.
