Didn't you just get out of the hospital?
Why yes, yes I did as a matter of fact. To repair damage to my neck from 20 years ago when I was hit by a tractor trailer at a major intersection. I was stopped at a traffic light, he came up behind me going 60 mph and decided not to stop. Hit the rear of my beautiful new Monte Carlo SS, went airborne, landed on the car in front of me, and broad-sided two cars coming through the green light at the intersection. There was nothing left of my car (or the other three for that matter). When the State Trooper caught up with me at the hospital he was shocked to find me in the emergency room and not the morgue. I should have died. Fuckin' opal saved my life. :-P

i lost 50-60 lbs two years ago. i didn't even feel like i was working all that hard to do it, other than not eating dairy was a bitch. i've kept it all off, other than some fluctuation and this extra 15 i packed on with the help of choclate shakes after dad died. i wish i could afford to see my acupuncturist once a week again, he does amazing things for my metabolism.
cap, you just look grown up now.

I'm finally under 200, with quite a bit more to go. I want to be down to 160, and I'm not sure how to get there. I like beer waaayyyy too much, even though I don't drink it nearly enough as I used to. The 2 mile a day walk is actually working, though.

Yeah I know I'm a bit of a chunker but I'm not obese by a long shot and I'm 160, and aren't you nearly a foot taller than me rob? And a guy?

I'm 6'2". I'm about 198 now, and I'd like to be at least 180 by winter. I'm thin everywhere except right in the middle. I just want to even out and tone up a bit.

Scuse me? The opal caused the accident. If it had been just a little stronger, you be a goner.

She's in her mid 40s and said she's been to so many concerts and that one ranked at the top. I had already bought the Rush tickets and couldn't afford to buy another pair for Roger Waters.
IRoger. Saw him in Philly a few years back and the show was so great I went on-line to check out his next show and flew to Columbus, OH three days later to see him again. He performed all the old Floyd classics - you can have Roger Waters without Pink Floyd, but you can't have Pink Floyd without Roger Waters. We're going to see him in Philly again on 11 November.
Oh, and Nomad, I totally dig Gordon Lightfoot too. It will be a great concert.
So, in keeping with the topic, DTTMMH: Roger and Gordon ![]()

I am so in your corner on this one.
Healthy lunch. Walking. I have never heard of such things. While at work no less? Pfft.
DTTMMH (sometimes): Having an insanely fast metabolism. I eat so much junk food you'd literally have to roll me around to get me anywhere otherwise.
Same here. It took 2 years of sitting on my butt 6 hours a day, 5 days a week (plus living on junk food) to gain 30lbs. I realized I had gotten to my highest Weight ever a few months ago, changed very little and now I'm fairly certain I'm back to my original weight. :-D

Same here! And the great thing is, I'm seeing Gordon on the 1st of October and Waters on the 8th. A week apart! October shall be a good month.

Isn't October the month of the Opal?
Is that your birth month?
And I see DS is heeeeere!
Nomad, 160 is ridiculous for your height. I am 5'10 and the least I have ever weighed is 176 and that was right before Basic Training and I thought i looked ill. I came out 8 weeks later weighing 189.
160 just sounds like I am going to have to start dropping pallets of rice and bottled water from a helicopter onto your property

I used to weigh 160, back when I was 17-18. I was ridiculously skinny then, so maybe I should have 180 as my target. That's less than 20 pounds.

nope, i'm a july baby.
but i love october.
i've got my fingers crossed that this october will be especially fantastical.
and also dttmmh:
it's alexander skarsgård's birthday.

October is going to be an awesome month. The roommates are moving out, and I can finally do whatever the fuck I want in this apartment!

My birthday is the same day you're going to see Gordon Lightfoot Rob.
And ftr, you're less than a foot taller than me. 180 is a good number. I'm trying to get to 140, I've dropped ten pounds already just by eliminating eating out more than once a week.

I know your birthday! You're one of the few I actually remember! :) And yeah, 180 is a good target weight for me. That'll pretty much eliminate the beer gut, which is getting smaller. I only look like I'm in my first trimester now.

What are you reading? I picked up Steinbeck's "East of Eden" and Mark Twain's "Roughing It" today.
