I'm watching Animal Cops Philadelphia and two abused pit bulls were rehabilitated, adopted out, and reunited at a dog park. They're having a great time! It brings happy tears to my eyes.

I wonder how long dogs remember their friends, offspring, brothers, sisters when they are separated. I was just thinking recently how heartbroken my two little dogs would be without each other.

I wonder, too. I adopted my dog (not the smartest animal) from a woman in a strip mall parking lot. He just trotted off with me and never looked back. I wonder if he'd remember her.
