After 6 weeks of being 'in process' my insurance finally finished processing my 44k ER bill and I only owe just over $500. I was holding my breath that it was going to be huge, so I will happily pay that. Still not happy that they didn't do anything for me, but at least I didn't have to pay a fortune for them not doing anything.
It's still too much IMHO, but I'm happy for you.
It's amazing how they condition people to think that $500 is acceptable for nothing after sending bills in the tens of thousands. Fucking criminal.

No, just local hardware stores for the most part. If you go to a city they'll have something like "Homesavers" but I'm not even sure if you'll find it there. Most everything is ordered online here. Our kitchen in ancient anyway and we need a new cooker before anything else.

I'm making something for the hubby's Uncle for Christmas. It's a work in progress, but it's the town that he's from. The goal is to wood burn this in to the cutting board. I brought a wood burning tool from America and used an adapter to practice on a random piece of wood and the fucking thing INSTANTLY turned in to a dangerously, red hot poker then died

I'll definitely update. I'm doing the letters on either side of the crest instead of around the bottom only because we couldn't find a bigger cutting board and I wanted the crest to be larger rather than crammed in there with the name. We'll see what happens. I'll practice it first, of course, but this tool comes with all kinds of tips that should make it easier to do. Fingers crossed! I have a spare board just in case
