I think if the boyfriend has a very good idea she'll say yes, a public proposal like that is sweet. My husband wrote me a song for my birthday, performed it with his guitar on the beach in front of about 25 of our closest friends, then proposed afterwards. It was the sweetest ever and I LOVED that all my besties were there to share it with me! Then we proceeded to beach camp, get shit canned drunk, fall down, and watch some guy get tased. All in all a fabulous time.

DTTMMH - My family are having a BBQ and get together for the long Jubilee weekend this week and I couldn't afford to go. My mum surprised me this morning by booking and paying for tickets so that I can go. I don't even care that it's a 7 hour trip which involves a change over in London

yeah, they company doesn't usually let you stick when you give your notice. i was a little surprised they gave me the option to stick around. being a sales job i just gave all my leads to my team and split. i've felt guilty the last few weeks since i know people are hungry for sales and they will no longer benefit me. i start my CNA class the 11th.

i'm going on a mini road trip tonight to celebrate with the boyfriend.

No problem! Any time you feel you need support, I'm here. I am a firm believer that our dreams ARE obtainable, we just have to make them happen. I think most people aren't willing to take the risk because, well, it's a risk. Then they live their lives hating the world because they "couldn't" do anything about their life. The only obstacle in our way is ourselves. That could be a famous person's quote, I dunno, but I like the sound of it;-)

I had a pretty public proposal but he knew I was going to say yes His best friend and his wife were in town so he wanted to make sure they got to see it.
