Yeah WWII. Prewar apartments are usually bigger and have stuff like crown molding, high ceilings, hardwood floors etc. The big draw of it for me is that the walls are way thicker and it's a lot harder to hear your neighbors (right now, I can hear my neighbor brushing his teeth, like I can hear the toothbrush scraping his teeth). The usual downside is that the electrical setup isn't so hot, but when we met the landlord he told us that he modernized it when he bought the building a couple of years ago.

Having a short day at work, but I dont actually have to pick the kid up from daycare til 6. Im taking advantage and taking a nap.

The fact that the baby's swing broke and I was able to buy another one off Craigslist using Paypal and have my dad bring it home on his way home from work!!!
I learned today that a baby swing is an essential item. I also have a headache still from the crying because the swing was broken.
Its amazing how something like a 40 minute lunch break can change your day. I just went to my moms and her, my aunt, aunts bf, and my kiddo, all had a great time and ate gumbo and told stories and cracked up laughing. The next 3 and a half hours are going to be much more bearable now.
