And the men in white coats? Is this 1955? It's incredibly difficult--even for a psychologist, I'd imagine--for a loved one to get another family member committed. Especially considering how blase he was about getting shot. In what world would the police be like 'well, if you say it was a through-and-through, it must be true.'

I have a feeling that was a last-minute 'oh won't this be shocking especially since he's such a beloved character' change on the part of Ryan Murphy, because even the actor who played Tate said he had no idea until they filmed this episode.
Honestly, the one good thing about this show is that it can be rewritten as it goes along/flashbacks aren't always true. Because I think that's just stupid. If anything, it would have been plausible for the rapey husband of Candice's to be in the suit because he is a similar body type to Dylan M. (As a matter of fact, it WAS DM in the suit because Connie Britton said she felt uncomfortable with anyone else).

The gf and I skyped with Art Mann the other night. It was pretty funny.
He said that they'd send me a Kangaroo Scrotum from the online store. A $13.95 value! Yayyyy!

For American Horror Story, I was kinda thinking Tate ultimately was the one to impregnate the mom.
SOA, I don't see Jax doing the whole siringe thing, he is either going to shoot Clay or something else. The overdosing him seems to weenie and would be a let down. Also, they have to keep Clay around for mischeif and put him in jail with the other dude who turned rat.
You can't just kill off Ron Pearlman, anyway.
I have an annoying issue with Tate that while I appreciate the whole 'we'll make him the most beloved character so you're all completely broken to find out he's eeeevil....' I'm also like hEY I STILL LOVE ALEX IN A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, HE'S MY FAVORITE RAPIST. And also, like...I found that episode really sloppily written and uncharacteristically full of expositional, lazy dialogue.

The more time has passed, the more awful I think that episode was.

Yeah, I got super annoyed with AHS last week, tonight they have to redeem themselves. The whole thing with Tate and the sobbing mother was annoying amongst other scenes. I guess my question is, are they trying to end up with an apocolyptic story? That would pretty much kill the series. If this continues they would have been better off just doing different stories for each episode.
It was just really heavy-handed. Usually they leave the references up to the viewer to sort out, but no, here we got a plot summary of The Yellow Wallpaper. And then, the heavy-handed 'giiit it, giiiit it' reference to the vibrator scene the previous week by having Moira spell out the whole 'doctors treated hysteria with orgasms' bullshit, which A) I do not believe a woman married to a psychologist would not be familiar with this anecdote, and B) way to cram in tons of 'see, we were building up to how she was losing it or seeming to lose it even though it actually doesn't seem like it and seems like we created that plot twist from our asshole
Also in what world would anyone get a woman committed that quickly/would a psychologist not know that she's stressed from her meds and pregnancy/would a psychologist not think that his wife who had a massive miscarriage maybe should not stay in the house where she was subjected to a very violent home invasion?????

HAHAH at the most boring person in the world episode where he just like zones out during her suicide attempt.
I don't really get how he met his patients when he just moved to L.A, nor do I understand why a psychologist would ever think it's a good idea to have patients COME TO HIS HOUSE.I know it's a plot device but geez. It's like rubbing cow brains on your hiding spot during a zombie apocalypse.

In Los Angeles, I would think it would be.

I agree though that it's a pretty bad idea. But then again, so is having affairs with patients, which also is not unheard of.

I think the main problem people seem to be having with the show, judging by boards I post on, is the idea of the house possession. They keep referring to Tate as 'split'. Everyone needs to watch The Shining or something. The idea is that house splits off the worst aspects of people's personalities and heightens them: Moira's whore alter ego, Tate's psychotic high school disenfranchised shit, Nora as....I dunno, the whiniest most self important asshole ever.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of Hugo (Constance's husband) and MATT ROSS as the doctor. Ihim so much.

Spoilers!!!!!!!!
All Knowey Bowie was right about American Horror Story, but damn if that wasn't incredibly sad to see her dead body like she just starred in The Ring.
I feel bad for Violet. Tate does care about her and love her, but now she's trapped too.
I also like that they showed Larry's kids and wife.
