    This site freezes Firefox?

    Question if i may-

I use firefox because IE is incredibly slow and i cant stand it.  But, when the ads pop up, it freezes for a moment and then i get the whole "Firefox has incurred a problem and will be shut down."  Any thoughts as to why?

And people dont give me the whole "If you were a premium you wouldnt get those ads."  Because im well aware of that and if i had the extra cash to buy a membership i would :P

Send Mike fully nude pics and he'll give you a free Preemie membership.
And affirmative action is a very nice term for racial discrimination against better-qualified white people in jobs, employment, promotions and scholarships, and college admittance.

Never had that here, but MySpace profiles make my Firefox freeze up at least 3 times a day.

I use Firefox and am premium and this has happened to me a couple of times.  :|
I'd say around 5 times in total in the last 2 months, but not for a few weeks now.
It's usually when I go to an article and click the title thread that takes me to the entry.

FUnny, I use IE and it's never happened to me even when I wasn't preemie.

But then again IE is actually better if you know how to use it correctly.

When I used IE here, the one thing that drove me crazy is when I'd use a smiley, it'd take out half my text.  IE freezes less than Firefox, but brings about way more spyware.

I has been conducting an experiment with the two :P

I use Firefox but haven't really encountered many problems. My laptop freezes once in a while but not when I'm on MDS.

I use Firefox and this happened to me today.  I couldn't get on the site, so being a bonehead I email Mike and reported that the whole site was down.
Then I noticed that my email was still showing people posting....*sigh*

This was the first time it happened to me though.

    Don't laugh. It's what I did.

    Never freezes for me.
I dunno if it's the site, but I hit the site from different computers, and they all have Firefox.

I've never had a problem with freezing. the only thing I keep getting is a connection time out thing. I get that all the time. but just for mds.

It does that to mean sometimes too.  When I click on an article under "latest articles," a kind of fog comes over the screen and it freezes.  :2smiley:

What kind of virus software are you using?

Someone told me that the Moli advertisement freezes their firefox browser. Is that the same one that is giving you problems?

    Re: This site freezes Firefox?

    I use McAfee.

Now that you mention it, I believe that it is a Moli advertisement that is on the screen when it freezes.  I just tried the latest articles and my screen did not freeze.

That's exactly what happens to me.

Mike, I'm not quite sure which ad it is. I'll try and make a mental note if it happens again, although it hasn't happened for a few weeks.  :-)
