    i was very close friends with Dakota Dooley who died on December 20th on her way to Menlo school to drop of AVON that she had forgotten to drop off on her way home from school, she was 17, she had only been 17 for 10 days, and she had just gotten her license the Saturday before that Thursday. R.I.P. Kodak

    CHS Junior
    Dies December 20, 2007

    Dakota Coloroda Dooley, 17, Menlo, died Dec. 20 from injuries received in an automobile accident.

    Miss Dooley was born Dec. 10, 1990 in Floyd County. She was a junior at Chattooga High School and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Her grandmother, Betty Ann Dooley and great-grandfather, Willie G. Smith died earlier.

    Surviving are her mother and step-father, Kristy and Bobby Hughes, Menlo; father, Larry Dale Dooley, Summerville; a sister, Stormy Dooley, Menlo; step-sisters, Christa Hughes, Reisha Hughes and Keisha Hughes; grandparents, Dottie Tucker, W. A. Winters, Larry Joe Dooley and Betty and Bobby Hughes; great-grandparents, Sarah Smith, and Lula Arnold; aunts and uncles, Chance and April Ham, Zachary and Heather Brown, Billy Joe Dooley, Connie Dooley, Sherry Dooley, and several cousins.

    Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ami Cemetery with the Rev. Jordan Smith officiating.
    Pallbearers were Matthew Willingham, Cody Bentley, Ryan Hamilton, Tyler Buice, Jacob Dotson, and Patrick Canada.
    Mason Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
