I usually keep a Google window/tab open... then simply copy & paste the word in question into the searchbox.
Nine times out of ten it's right.

The new version of Firefox (should be out soon) includes an automatic spell check. For those who love Firefox. :)

What we really need is a spellchecker that puts a little <sic> after each misspelled word instead of correcting it... that way we all could feel like complete morons!
