MDS Preggos, Papas & Mamas - Ramble here! :)

We don't really have a thread, so I am making one. I figure this way, we can keep all our baby babble and parenting nonsense out of the rest of the threads. I don't want to induce vomiting in the child-free and the child-less. Anyway, it's worth a shot.

Come here to vent, ask for advice, complain about fetus feet lodged in your ribs, brag about your kid's delightful bowel movements, share humiliating kid stories, etc.

I'll start. I am 26 weeks and the size of a small country. Did my glucose and some other labs yesterday. Delightful lab techs had a helluva time finding veins, so I have four holes for two blood draws. I am resembling a heroin addict a bit.

Now, I expect lots of belly pics, cutie kid pics and hormonal rambling! Get to it! :)
With all this talk of thinking outside the box, I am beginning to wonder what's left inside the box. -Me

ohh! good luck with that Glucose test! I was a pretty sever diabetic with my youngest.... I think the most f*ed up part was that they made me inject the insulin into my GIANT stomach! I was like NO WAY! I'm so going to stab the baby with this needle! So I too looked like a hardcore addict any day of the week.... LOL.

:2wave:

I'm 32 weeks and tired of being pregnant.
I can't sleep anymore. I am grouchy most of the time and I fear I'll never be able to move with any sort of grace again.

But I love the idea of having my son. I dream about his little face. I really can't wait to meet him.

Today was the first day that I couldn't stop vomiting. I am way less excited now. Is that a bad thing for me to say? lol

Are you kidding? I have been less than ecstatic about being pregnant. There are things like nausea, fatigue, and back pain that suck -- royally. I just am holding out for the payoff.

Ick! My sister had to do heparin injections twice a day, and after nine months, she had run out of spots to inject that weren't already black and blue. I can't imagine.

I can totally relate on the no sleep. I toss and turn ALL night long. I go from the couch, to the bed, to the love seat, to the floor.

It took me a LONG time to warm up to the idea of being pregnant again. It's a LOT to deal with, so I forgive ya.

 Anytime!

Actually, I don't think any of those things work unless your body is ready for labor on it's own. I would do anything to have this baby in 2 weeks though.

So, I had originally dodged the bullet on not telling the City (where I got offered a job) that I was pregnant. Hurray.

Then, along came the delightful pre-employment physical. BUSTED!

They did the whole work up, blood, urine, EKG, height, weight, vision, hearing, wanted to do a chest x-ray, but I'm knocked up, so they can't...So, ya, in my record, that'll be forwarded to the City, it'll tell them I'm pregnant. I know they can't "not hire" based on that, but I don't want them to "not hire" based on something dumb like the fact that I can't do a chest x-ray.

I will be so mad if I don't get this job.

Pregnant bitching: Anyone else get shin splints? I have NEVER had them before, and lately (especially after an 8 hour shift workin' retail) my right shin hurts like a sunuvabitch.

That blows gretch. Hopefully they overlook it. It really sucks people can't work just because they are having a baby.

I don't get shin splints, but I do get leg cramps. They suck bad, especially in the middle of the night.

LOL I feel terrible for saying it now, because mostly I am totally so grateful and excited and happy happy happy, but dang...by the 10 am I had vomited like 7 times today so I was feeling a little less lucky!

I didn't throw up, but man, the nausea this time was a BITCH! I spent an entire week half dead on the couch back in August. That was about the time I stocked up on the massive boxes of Saltines from Costco and cases of ginger ale.

I'm at 37 weeks as of yesterday and CANNOT WAIT to be done!

My doctor told me today that my cervix was thinning out, but no dilation or anything of that nature, yet. :|

If I wanted, he said they might be able to induce as early as the 22nd, and the latest she is staying in me is Feb. 6th. I'm totally going for the 22nd, which if it holds true means I will be having her in 2 weeks..yikes!

I still throw up, I got mild relief during my second trimester, but I think when I get a swift kick or eat too fast, my stomach just can't handle it..and its weird because when my stomach growls, I can feel it right below my ribcage on my left side, where stomachs aren't usually supposed to be.

Then her birthday will be 2/22. Cool!

I was nauseated throughout both of my pregnancies. The only part of being pregnant that I enjoyed was feeling the baby move inside me. I was never one of those cheerful, glowing pregnant women.

Nope, 1/22..if it actually got to 2/22 I would be doing one of these:

My stupid boyfriend had this look on his face when I told him she could come as late as the beginning of Feb. Then he goes, "That's around the time of the Superbowl." Gee thanks, I don't want him to miss that for the birth of his child.

My friend Kristin is getting induced tonight, actually. She told me about a week ago, her boyfriend pulled the mucous plug out of her

How do you do that? Is that even safe?
