Find the fake "James" and win a prize.
I went through three pages of James - this is the only one in WA and it has to be real: http://mydeathspace.com/article/2006/06/29/James_McGonagle_(19)_was_killed_when_a_single_engi ned_plane_he_was_on_crashed_in_the_wilderness
The only ones without real articles are these two...
Only one pic, one friend, and no comments...The picture looks like a crappy, scanned version of a yearbook photo. If there is a James, and they submitted him as James, this James has my bet...Though, not sure about Hogansville as a location?

Plenty of pics, comments and We Miss Yous...

With all this talk of thinking outside the box, I am beginning to wonder what's left inside the box. -Me
It's kind of written like a post secret so odds are it isn't even true.

Not only that, but why should we waste our time on their little practical joke? If it was anything anyone gave a shit about to begin with, we would have found it to be a fake just like we do all the rest. Hmmmm unless of course, James is code for Romeo!
Maybe James is his real name and they used a fake name for the fake page.
edit: it came from Washington state. It's probably from sunsetlover.

This one is entered into the Social Security Death Index.

I would probably look for someone in Washington, not the UK.
James prolly isn't his name.
I don't know anyone on here from Tacoma, but I'll look.

Well, if it's a fake entry then anything could be game. I would assume the name is James though, because why else include that on the postcard?
It's just as easy to make a fake myspace from the UK as it is a fake one in Washington.
Mealworm aka sonsetlovermonkeyfortune mentions tacoma alot in her posts.
How do we know that the death was in Tacoma? I know that the postmark says Tacoma-Olympia, but that is also the postal code for Ft. Lewis. Huge military area, and a big destination for military retirees who have family/friends/ex's all over the country. Just a thought.
I am in the Tacoma area (Puyallup). There, I outed myself. It must have been me!!! :)

What postal code?
maybe it never made it as an article? The postcard said reported, not anything about it being an article ever...maybe a more info needed?

98026 baby! Edmonds!
But, I don't think that your zip code is the same as anyone elses in the country. I think that would defeat the purpose.

Yeah. . I can't cheer "Spanaway!!!" because then even I would have to accept how lame I really am.
As far as the postal code, I just meant that any mail from Oly to Tacoma all bears the same postal code. They got rid of the codes for Puyallup (my old postal code. :( ), Roy, and others when they merged Oly, Puyallup, Roy, Ft. Lewis, Spanaway, Graham. .. etc. Is there a way to see which zip code it came from beyond the Tac-Oly postal code? I don't know how to read those stamp thingies.
