It says, they have one drowning a year there.
I wonder if its mandatory, or just worked out that way.

I guess If he didn't drown, it would have screwed up the average to .8

    And thats just impossible.

Part of God's plan I suppose.

*Don't go in the water alone.
*Don't swim right next to the pier.
    *Stay away from the jetties.
*Don't drink or do drugs and then try to swim.

I am glad the article gave these tips, phew now I know!

This is a weird one. Wonder if something medically went wrong....

What makes you think that they wouldn't have lined someone else up?

I really think its a possibility that this kid dove down and hit his head, causing him to go unconscious and drown. I took a Jr. Lifeguard course when I was little and they always told us to dive with our arms over our head to prevent us from hitting the bottom and breaking our neck or going unconscious. Just a thought i guess&nbsp; :|

Maybe it was suicide. Maybe he wanted to drown? Theres another idea tossed out there

I thought it was impossible to make yourself drown, especially considering this kid was a &quot;good swimmer&quot; and it was not deep water at all

Hmm there have been suicides by drowning before. However, those people usually have to bound themselves or weigh themselves down so that they cannot swim up even if they wanted to (because I think instincts will make you if you can)... obviously this guy wasn't bound.&nbsp; Strange case... I dunno!

Nah quicsand works in strange ways.Â* The hole idea behind is that the sand is totally saturated with water, and the sand liquifies, and in turn sucks you in.Â* It is entirely possible that in such shallow water that quicksand did suck him in, not all the way, but long enough to hold him under water to drown.&nbsp; Simple laws of physics.

Cpt Jack Sparrow grabbed his leg and pulled him down~!
People used to think that when someone dies, a crow carries their soul to the land of the dead. But sometimes, ...only sometimes the crow brings that soul back to set the wrong things right.<br />
