is this real?

Bizarre Baby Born In Nepal
A large crowd gathered in Charikot, Dolakha on Wednesday to catch a glimpse of an odd looking child. The child had no neck and protruding eyes as well as several other physical deformities. The baby, born after a healthy nine month gestation, died shortly after birth. Local police were deployed to control the amassing crowd.

Looks like a genuine Anencephalic baby to me...putting it on public display outside an institute of higher learning is a bit weird..but hey...

Scroll up...I said it's called, "Anencephaly." It means that, among other things, the baby was born without a brain (well without most of the brain anyway. In less extreme presentations (e.g., microencephaly), it can be a survivable condition. Survivors used to be called "pin heads," and were often put in circus side shows.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zip_the_Pinhead (a survivor who starred in side shows - less severe)

Re: is this real?

i don't think that one is real... i also find it disturbing that they were carrying in around in a freaking POT. i would think that they would have that poor child in the hospital instead of parading it around in cookware.

The Bodies Exhibit has babies with crazy birth defects... real (dead) babies. like that one where the intestines grow on the outside of the body and i'm pretty sure one had Anencephaly. some even had hair... it was totally creepy and traumatizing.

Freaks is a good movie. Before exploitation was frowned upon.
