Time on forum?

Is anyone else seeing the time on the forum as different than it really is? I went to the profile settings and it shows it as correct there.

    Ideas anyone?

what? I was gonna say it got fixed after the outage.

it used to be set 4 hours behind my time, which is Central time. now it is set to 2 hours behind me, the way it should be. :?

is it not for you? I have it set to +2 hours to make it central time. before I had to make it +4 because there was a glitch or something.

Same here, used to be behind 3 for me, now its one. I would think since Mike (and the server) is located in cali, that it would be default to PST?

Who knows. I just changed the settings in my profile settings.

exactly, I was wondering if they were in the pacific ocean or something to make it 4 hours behind me, maybe Hawaii?

but yeah, when MDS was back up again yesterday, the time was 2 hours AHEAD, so I changed it from +4 to +2 and now it's the way it should be.

maybe I should log out and view as a guest to see what the time says?

I'm pacific time, I'll just go force it!

And change it back when they fix the main server time.

Thanks everyone, it was fine just the other day!

that's strange, it must just be messed up for you. I logged out and looked, and the forum default time was set to pacific time.

so you should just have 0 as your time adjustment setting in your profile.

Exactly, but it wanted to be set at 2 though! I am in pacific time here.

Maybe it is because we are still using PsstIt's server?!?

set at 2? are we talking about the same thing?

the default forum time should be exactly what you want. :?

maybe we need someone else to say what the default time says for them, because for me it's already set to pacific time, which is what you want.

Before the time was accurate and that setting was at 2, i think it was set at -2 actually. Then all of a sudden it was off. But you are right the setting I needed now is 0 and it is correct now!

    Thanks

Guys! There's an 'auto detect' button!

    Re: Time on forum?

time on the server was not handling day light savings time. i corrected this problem. so the forum time was set off.

this can be corrected in your profile. auto-detect works well.

    Re: Time on forum?

The auto detect feature is how is was originally. When I tried it the other day, it didn't work. So I just set it so it matched my time!

I like it to match!
