Esperanza Harding (20) Drowned her child in a hotel bathtub because she was upset that she couldn't enjoy her bath when the chilid started crying.

"Esperanza Harding is accused of drowning her child, telling Bloomington Police investigators that the man she was dating did not like her child and wanted her to give the child up for adoption. She also said that he wanted her to prove that he was her top priority, according to the criminal complaints filed in Hennepin County District Court March 8. [Harding] said she was alone in the hotel room on Feb. 28, taking a bath when her child began crying. Harding said she was upset she couldn?t enjoy her bath, according to the complaints. Harding said she then put the child in the full bathtub, drowned him and took a photo of the child floating face down in the tub. That photo was recovered from Harding?s cellphone, the complaints noted. Harding picked up her child after he was ?done moving, done twitching.? She said she had been texting Trudeau during the incident, and investigators recovered those text messages. After her initial text messages to Trudeau, warning she was about to ?do something bad,? she texted him to say her child was dead. Subsequent messages sent to Trudeau referred to herself as a monster for what she had done, and asking Trudeau how to get away with it, her complaint explained. Trudeau responded to the initial text message warnings from Harding, telling her that what she was about to do was OK. When Harding texted him that she was sorry for what she had done, he responded, ?don?t be,? his complaint noted. Trudeau came to the hotel room after the child had died and attempted to perform CPR on him before they had sex in another room as the child lay dead on the bathroom floor. They did not call 911 or seek help for the child, according to his complaint. Harding then placed her child in the backpack and threw it in a garbage bin in the hotel parking lot"

If you're ever in the Twin Cities to visit the Mall of America, be advised the area in Bloomington immediately to the west and across the 77 freeway is not safe... There's all kinds of sketchy hotels that will rent to homeless locals there including the hotel where this took place. Generally the area bordered by 35W, 77, 494, and 90th street. Fortunately I live to the south of this and it doesn't tend to spill over.
