An Alabama father whose teenage daughter went missing in 2012 was charged with murder in connection with her presumed death, according to multiple reports.
Brittany Robinson was reported missing by her mother over a decade ago, and was last seen with her father, Demetric Hooper, when she was 14 years old. Hooper was indicted on murder charges by a grand jury in Mobile County.
Hooper had already been in custody in Oklahoma City on unrelated charges, and will be extradited back to Alabama.
Suspicion long had centered on Hooper, whom police charged with custodial interference a few months after Brittany Robinson's disappearance in June 2012 at the age of 14. He pleaded guilty in 2013 to that charge, and a judge sentenced him to 10 years in prison.
