An Australian police officer is facing two murder charges after allegedly killing his former boyfriend and his new partner and disposing of their bodies, which are yet to be found.

New South Wales police officer Beaumont Lamarre-Condon, 28, appeared in court on Friday afternoon charged with the murders of Jesse Baird, 26, and Luke Davies, 29.

The couple was last seen at Baird?s home in the eastern Sydney suburb of Paddington on Monday, and fears for their safety rose after their bloodied belongings were found in a skip in Cronulla, around 30 kilometers (18 miles) away.

NSW Police Detective Superintendent Daniel Doherty told reporters at a news briefing Friday that blood was also found in a search of Baird?s home, as well as a ?projectile? and a fired cartridge case.

?This has now been ballistically matched to a New South Wales Police firearm ? and that firearm belongs to the 28-year-old man who was charged today,? Doherty said.

Police said in a statement that the off-duty officer charged was a senior constable attached to a specialist command.

An NSW Court spokesperson confirmed Lamarre-Condon had appeared in Waverley court Friday charged with two counts of murder. He didn?t apply for bail.

I want to say he used to date one of the victims and then became a stalker.

But then why kill his recent boyfriend? It's very confusing.

Police divers were searching inland waterways on Monday for the bodies of a same-sex couple allegedly shot dead in Sydney a week earlier by a jilted police officer lover with his service pistol.

Police allege former television reporter Jesse Baird, 26, and his flight attendant partner Luke Davies, 29, were shot dead in Baird’s shared house in the inner-Sydney suburb of Paddington on Monday last week, New South Wales Police Force Deputy Commissioner David Hudson said.
Lamarre-Condon, 28, had been in a relationship with Baird that ended late last year.

Police suspect Lamarre-Condon took the bodies in a rented van to a rural property in Bungonia near Goulburn, around 200 kilometers (124 miles) southwest of Sydney on Wednesday.

Police allege he returned to the property on Thursday after buying weights from a department store that detectives suspect were used to sink the bodies in a waterway.
I guess it's a "If I can't have you, no one will" type of thing.

I think they mean he also killed his ex's current partner.

Agree. I always question what the endgame is for situations like this.

I am guessing he (Beaumont) thought the new boyfriend (Luke) took his old boyfriend (Jesse) from him and wanted to punish both of them or something like that.

Human remains found in search for missing Sydney couple

Australian police say two bodies have been found during the search for missing Sydney couple Jesse Baird and Luke Davies.

"We are very confident that we have located Luke and Jesse," New South Wales (NSW) Police Commissioner Karen Webb said.

Beaumont Lamarre-Condon, a police officer who once dated TV presenter Mr Baird, was earlier charged with murder.

The bodies were discovered on a rural property in the town of Bungonia.

Police said that after initially refusing to cooperate with the investigation, Mr Lamarre-Condon finally disclosed where the two bodies were located on Tuesday morning.
