An entire family has been missing since their November move to Houston, New Orleans police say.

Police are asking for help locating Steys Yanira David-Funez, 27, her husband, Ramon Ruiz Crisanto, 31, and their daughters, Jazzlyn Esther Ruiz David, 4, and Dara Ismeray Ruiz David, 1.

New Orleans police said David-Funez's father reported the family missing after he drove them to the Greyhound bus station at 1001 Loyola Avenue in New Orleans on Nov. 30. They texted him later that day to let him know they'd arrived in Houston.

That was the last time he heard from them, police said. Family members in Texas told him the family never made it to Houston.

It's strange that they told him that they made it to Houston, yet family member in Texas claim that they never made it there. I wonder if there was something going on in that family that would either warrant them wanting to go missing or something more sinister, like one of the parents (or both) wanting to kill the kids and themselves. No bodies, but they could have gone deep in to the woods somewhere to do it and still haven't been discovered. Or, they took off to Mexico for some reason? Really bizarre for an entire family to fall off the face of the earth.

Same. It's all too often that these extreme religious folks go whacky and either abuse their family or kill them "Because God told me to". To me, this smacks of this guy trying to get his family isolated from everyone else so that he could basically hold them prisoner in his delusional world.
