Delta flight forced to make emergency landing because of diarrhea

    https://nypost.com/2023/09/04/delta-...gers-diarrhea/

    It was a crappy situation.

A Delta flight from Atlanta to Barcelona was forced to turn around and make an emergency landing after a passenger “had diarrhea all the way through the plane."

I wouldn't want to be the person that had to clean that up.

ATC audio from the pilot on the video at link. I bet everyone listening to that frequency was cracking up.

I'm not sure if I should ask my friend if she was there/heard about this crappy situation. My friend works in the tower for Delta at the Atlanta Airport.

I feel so badly for the person who did the deed all throughout the plane. That had to have been horrible and so embarrassing.

OMG same! I would be mortified, it's like one of those "worst nightmare" type things.

I know this is TMI, but I had some stomach stuff going on today and immediately thought about how horrendous it would have been to be on a flight and not being able to get to the bathroom in time. Yikes!

Ugh, I had this happen shortly after I had my gallbladder out about 12 years ago. Everything was weird for my digestive system for a long time and I had to be really careful. I took my husband to the airport to travel to LAS for training and dropped him off and all of a sudden my stomach balled up in a huge cramp. I went from being fine to being in a dire strait in a matter of seconds. It made me afraid to go anywhere for awhile. Eventually my digestive system got used to not having a gallbladder, but it took awhile.

That must have been horrible. It can truly be debilitating for many.

I am not going to post it, but the Daily Mail has published video/pictures of the stuff all over the plane.

Thanks-it definitely changed things. I hope you get to feeling better soon!

On top of the horribleness of the mess, I would be wondering what I was potentially exposed to if I were a passenger on the Delta flight.
