Texas teen missing for more than 8 years is found alive
Rudy Farias, now 25, was last seen in 2015 walking two dogs who returned to his Houston home without him.
I think he took off to be with someone and has been living with them and then maybe on the streets.
ETA: I have been doing some further reading. I still think he took off voluntarily with someone, but that person(s) wasn't what they claimed to be and abused him.

Note from his family:
The note mentions that he is in a lot of pain.
It continues: 'He flintches if you try to touch him or hug him thinking we are going to strike him.
'He thinks his name is Julio Torres and he is 14 now.'
Farias' mother said they have tried to speak to him, but he will only say a few words and adopts the fetal position. At the time that he went missing, he suffered from PTSD, depression and anxiety, Texas EquuSearch said in 2015.
'It is possible he is disoriented as he has not been taking his medication,' the organization said as they launched a search.

The Ferias case is hinky. I fell into a fb rabbit hole yesterday about it. One relative is saying he saved a kidnap victim (back then) and got kidnapped instead. Also, 2 unknown men are allegedly nosing around the hospital asking too many questions, so the family was told to remove his hospital bracelet and remove hospital pics. His mother posts, an aunt, another aunt.....and one side of family is estranged from other side and accused of making stuff up about mother. It all seems very messy.
I read that he had been seen on family land in 2018, years after he was kidnapped, so I'm not sure what to think.
Yeah, I have a lot of questions.

https://abc13.com/rudy-farias-found-...lace/13456217/In an update on Monday, Houston police said there was a reported sighting of the missing man by his family back in 2018, years after he first went missing.
I am back to thinking this was a voluntary disappearance. In 2015, authorities reported Farias was diagnosed with depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and anxiety. His mother said he battled with depression and anxiety since his half-brother was killed in a motorcycle accident back in 2011.
Texas EquuSearch began asking the public for help finding him, noting that he was possibly disoriented and hadn't been taking his medication.
On mobile but BOOOOOM
Investigate his family!

Anyone see this?
What in the actual fuck.He said that, she would make him sleep in the bed with her. He said that she made him play daddy. He said that he didn't like getting in the bed with her. That he would try to sneak out of the bed and sometimes hide under the bed, but she told him, he had to be her husband," X stated.
He says Farias told him he was forced to sleep in bed with no clothes on.
Omg this poor kid

Rudy Farias’ mom expects to be arrested for hiding son who was ‘found’ 8 years after listed missing
Quanell, the activist, claimed Farias was hurt after stealing and then crashing his mother’s car to avoid her abuse.
So he left the hospital with the activist and his mother?? The cops let him go back to his abuser.
