    CLEVELAND (WJW) ? A Cleveland mother is facing a murder charge, accused of leaving her 16-month-old child alone while she went on vacation, and the child died.

    Homicide detectives have charged Kristel Candelario.

    Mom arrested after 3-year-old?s death ruled a homicide: Cleveland police
    A court complaint says she admitted she went on vacation to Puerto Rico and Detroit, and she left her daughter alone and unattended.

    The complaint says the mother was gone from June 8 to June 16, and on June 16, she found her daughter unresponsive.

    The child died at a home on West 97th Street.

    These stories always make me think of how many times this is happening and the kid just happens to live through it and we don?t hear about it.

    She left her in the packnplay and didnt leave even a sippy cup. I think she would have lived if she had water.

    A Cleveland woman pleaded guilty Thursday to the aggravated murder of the toddler she left alone for more than a week while she went on vacation, prosecutors said.
    Candelario pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated murder and one count of endangering children in the case. She is set to be sentenced next month.

    She got life without parole. The judge said "you will be locked away like your daughter, but you with at least get feed and get water"

    What upsets me the most is the kid slowly died alone with noone to pick her up and hold her or comfort her day after day.

    Im watching part of the sentencing on youtube on court tv. I dont know how if I can stomach it.

    OMG you can here the child screaming on the ring doorbell

    She blames the lack of judgement on a abrupt stopping of medication, yet shes seen partying in puerto rico.

    She lied to the officers and said she was home, but the baby was sick and didnt eat.

    OMG the baby ate her own poop.
