Troy Khoeler (7) found dead in a washing machine after going missing

    https://www.click2houston.com/news/l...rs-pct-4-says/

A 7-year-old boy who was reported missing for several hours Thursday was found dead inside of a washing machine at home in Spring, Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman says.

Precinct 4 constable deputies responded to a missing persons call in the 4400 block of Rosegate Drive in the Birnamwood subdivision around 5:20 a.m.

When constable deputies arrived at the scene, the parents of Troy Khoeler reportedly told them the 7-year-old had been missing since 4 a.m.

When authorities conducted a search, they found the boy inside of a top-load washing machine located inside the garage around 7:20 a.m., Precinct 4 said. After the boy?s body was discovered, Precinct 4 said they called deputies with the Harris County Sheriff?s Office to conduct an investigation.

Lt. Robert Minchew with the HCSO Homicide Unit said the parents of the 7-year-old were detained and taken into custody for questioning. Constable deputies said there were ?possible signs? that led them to search the home.

Minchew said Troy has no other siblings and authorities aren?t sure how his parents discovered he was missing before calling 911. Investigators declined to comment on if there were signs of foul play, if they believe the boy got inside the machine himself, if there was water in the machine, or if the lid was closed.

Authorities are waiting for a medical examiner to determine the possible cause of death.

According to Minchew, Troy was a foster child and was adopted in 2019. Officials confirmed with KPRC 2 that CPS does have history with the family.

Pretty obvious the parents had something to do with it. Why put him in the washing machine, did they think the cops wouldn't look there??

It must have not had an agitator, or else he wouldnt have fit.

He was a foster kid and CPS has had contact with the family in the past, he could've been small and starved

That is a front loader. Not saying the parents arent guilty, but he could have gotten in there himself.

I have a front loader that I keep cracked so it won't mold or mildew. Hopefully, his foster parents didn't intentionally harm him and he accidentally got in. Not that that's better. R.I.P.

The article claims it's a top loading machine though:

Troy Khoeler was discovered inside a top load washing machine

Ok I take back what I said...I see the control panel on the top (the dude's hand is on it). Its a top loader, looks like a newer model so probably no agitator. it only locks when washing a cycle.

Exactly what made me think foul play. He should've been able to push the lid and get out, unless he was already dead or someone was holding it down...

And he had been missing since 4 am....if it was an accident (like he was hiding) that sure is an odd time.

Ok so *no judgement* but I tested this case out. I have a top loader with no agitator. I put my 4 year old in there (didnt close the lid bc I didnt want to traumatize him. He could fit with kneeling, but barely. The only way a kid could fit in there is if the body was placed in there, in a fetal position.

    Im going with no accident.

Thank you for your valuable research, I was wondering if a child could fit inside a washing machine, but a top loader would be impossible. The dryer on the other hand is a favorite hiding spot for some kids.
